It’s hard to go wrong at this Tokyo-based franchise that touched down in San Diego two months ago with a 12-bowl lineup of distinctive ramen styles all made using different ratios of their master pork, chicken bone and vegetable based broths; sinful additions like chicken or pork “oil” (fat put politely); and dreamy toppings such as custardy onsen tamago (egg), ground chicken, corn, pads of butter and more. Check out the “spicy chicken ramen,” “premium tonkotsu white,” and spicy ground pork topped “umami miso” at this decadent locale.
