Bethesda Magazine: JINYA Ramen Bar Announces Grand Opening at Pike & Rose
JINYA Ramen Bar, a full-service, sit-down restaurant featuring authentic Tonkotsu ramen with a modern twist, announced Thursday it will open Aug. 7 in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development.
The first 100 customers to visit the eatery at 910 Prose St. will receive free “slurpy-worthy ramen,” and there will be door prizes and celebratory activities throughout the day, the restaurant said in a press release. Doors will open at 11 a.m.
“We’re thrilled to introduce JINYA to North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose,” JINYA Ramen Bar’s Hoang Nguyen said in a press release. “We absolutely love the strong sense of community and everything that Pike & Rose has to offer. We look forward to being part of this growing, vibrant community for many years to come.”
The restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds from its opening day to the Manna Food Center, a nonprofit food distribution organization in Gaithersburg. Products from Ellicott City-based Manor Hill Brewing will be featured on the menu—along with other local breweries—in an effort to show support for the community that recently suffered a devastating flood, the release said.
JINYA offers five broths with different dipping sauces and oils that alter the flavor profile, according to the release. Customers can customize noodle bowls with a variety of noodle types and more than 25 toppings.
Other menu offerings will include Spicy Chicken Ramen, Slurp Up Cilantro Ramen, Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen, and the Cha Cha Cha for garlic lovers. Salmon Poke mini tacos, JINYA Bun, Brussels Sprouts Tempura with truffle oil, Takoyaki, JINYA Quinoa Salad, and various rice bowls and curry will also be available. Dessert offerings will include Green Tea or Chocolate Mochi ice cream, Panna Cotta and Green Tea Pistachio or Triple Berry White Chocolate BlockPops.
Drinks will include a selection of local craft and Japanese beers, Japanese-inspired cocktails, Sake and other seasonal house-made, tea-based non-alcoholic beverages.
JINYA will have seating for 74, including a 10-seat full bar and an outdoor patio featuring a communal table for 18 guests with a fire pit.
The restaurant will be open daily for lunch, dinner and happy hour Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Food and happy hour specials will be offered daily from 4 to 7 p.m.
The restaurant will be the third JINYA location in the D.C. metropolitan area.
